Since it was released in the Spring of 2009, the Lagoon 400, has quickly established itself a a very roomy and comfortable Catamaran for the charter market, boasting four cabins all with en suites plus the saloon. It has a hard top Bimini to give maximum protection from the sun, but still with plenty of deck space to lie out in. The Galley is placed between the Saloon and Cockpit, and with its 7.25mt beam, this creates a large open plan feeling. Both the forward cabins can be converted to be two singles or a double. The stern area and swim platforms are easy to move around, and all controls are led aft to the helm point. Under sail it handles easily even heavy weather, while still giving a surprising turn of speed in light airs for such a large yacht. Under power with her twin engines set over 6mt apart she is very responsive in tight marinas and and will cruise at 6 to 7 knots all day. Overall this is a well though out catamaran that offers the same luxurious living space that you would need to have a much larger Monohull to match. |
