Activity 35 |
The Activity 35 is one of our in house yachts and these yachts only ever sail with our flotilla in Croatia. The yacht is based on a Y36, a Slovenian built yacht which we had modified slightly to suit our flotilla needs. The Activity 35 is a performance/cruiser, three cabin charter yacht built for sailing in these waters. It has a fine entry at the Bow, is not too wide in the centre and then carries that width virtually all the way to the stern. This gives a hull shape that sails easily and so accounts for the good sailing performance of these yachts. Down below then you have two very good sized double stern cabins for a yacht of this size as well as a forward cabin that is equally suited to having two singles sharing, or for a couple. The main saloon can either have a lay out with two single berths and an L shaped Galley or the Galley to Starboard and curved settee arrangement to Port where there is a single berth. With this latter configuration the Saloon is longer than the twin berth arrangement, and the forward cabin is shorter. With this arrangement then there is a chart table to Starboard, aft of the galley and the heads are to port with either layout. All yachts have Hot water and an internal and external shower as standard and all have a Holding Tank . On Deck there is a Selden mast and boom with a 7/8ths fractional rig, which again assists the performance of the yacht. There is a Furling Genoa and either a Fully Battened or conventional slab reefed mainsail and all yachts have single line reefing. All yachts have Log, Depth, Mast head Wind indicator and a handheld GPS is available if required, as well as all the necessary charts and basic navigation equipment needed for sailing with a flotilla in Croatia. The cockpit is exceptionally large for this size of yacht and can accommodate six to eight in comfort, with the two seats located on the Port and Starboard Pushpits generally being the most sought after seats on the yacht when sailing. There is a good flexible, Bimini arrangement allowing for one permanent section and another that can be rolled out when required, and the Bimini is high enough to be able to see the main sail while sailing and the Bimini is up. There is a walk through transom with a decent sized swim platform and deck shower, an electric anchor windlass, with controls both at the helm and the bow and overall these yachts have proved to be very popular with families and groups for flotilla sailing, and all at a reasonable cost for this size and standard of yacht. |
